Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data blog.swadhin.cv ("the site", "this blog") collects, why it is collected, and what you can do about it. The site is a personal blog written and operated by Swadhin Biswas. By using the site you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect the email address you provide and use it to send the newsletter. Delivery and contact storage are handled by Resend. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also use the unsubscribe page. When you unsubscribe, your address is removed from the newsletter list.
- Comments. When you post a comment we store the display name and comment text you submit, the article it belongs to, and the time of submission. No account is required. Comments are publicly visible once approved.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider processes standard request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) to serve pages and to protect the site against abuse.
- Analytics. The site uses Vercel Analytics, which reports aggregated, cookieless usage data such as which pages are popular. It does not build a profile of you and it is not used for advertising.
Cookies and local storage
- A short-lived comment cooldown cookie is set when you post a comment, to limit one comment per article per minute and prevent spam.

An admin session cookie (
admin_session, HttpOnly) is set only when the site owner signs in to the admin area. Regular visitors never receive it. -
Your theme preference (light or dark) is stored in your browser's
localStorage. It stays on your device and is never sent to the server.
How we use information
- To deliver the site and its content.
- To send the newsletter you asked for.
- To display and moderate comments.
- To understand aggregate traffic and keep the site secure.
We do not sell or rent personal data. We do not run advertising networks or third-party ad trackers on this site.
Third-party services
These providers process data on our behalf to run the site:
- Vercel — hosting, content delivery, and analytics.
- Turso — the database that stores posts, categories, and comments.
- Resend — sending the newsletter and its welcome email.
Links to other websites are outside our control and are governed by their own privacy policies.
How long we keep data
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
- Comments: until you ask us to remove them, or until we remove them during moderation.
- Server logs: retained by the hosting provider for a limited period for security and operations.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email swadhinbiswas.cse@gmail.com. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect the data we hold, but no online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, the date at the top of this page changes. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
